Float Foods, OnlyEG

Float Foods, launched their first product towards the end of 2020, a plant based protein called OnlyEg.  We met Vin Choolani, founder of Float Foods, last year when we were doing a project searching for incubators and accelerators in Asia. 

Float Foods is a Singapore-based food-tech startup founded with a drive to advance Asia’s plant-based ecosystem. With innovation, their mission is to develop plant-based products that are tastier and more nutritious than their animal-sourced equivalents.  They are aiming to improve food safety for Singapore and the region, while reducing the impact on our environment. 

                       

OnlyEg is Asia’s first commercial plant-based whole egg substitute that offers an egg yolk and egg white replacement.  It uses legumes-based substitutes for both egg yolk and egg white, and is the first of its kind to achieve the level of likeness to a real chicken egg.  According to Float Foods, the closest alternatives in the market are currently liquid blends of egg substitutes that are limited to scrambled eggs and omelets.  With OnlyEg however, it can be prepared into multiple egg dishes such as sunny side-up, overeasy, or soft boiled.
